Hey there! I’m so glad you stumbled on my little food blog! My name is Amanda and my husband Nathan and I live in Charleston, SC with our golden retriever, Cash. You’ll probably see Cash featured in a handful of my blog posts here and there. I mean, isn’t he just the cutest?! And yes, we dressed him up as a cowboy for Halloween this year. As you can tell, the costume is a few sizes too small.. but he rocked it.
Anyway, enough about the dog. Let’s talk about the blog. I started A Fit Kitchen simply so that I could share my healthy (yet super delicious) recipes for those looking to live a healthier lifestyle without sacrificing delicious food. I am definitely a food lover and thoroughly enjoy cooking so it’s really fun for me to try to come up with healthy dishes and cleaner alternative recipes. As you’ll notice I do not follow any sort of diet such as paleo or whole30 or anything although many of my recipes happen to fall into these categories. I just try to stick to ‘cleaner’ recipes that don’t have a lot of processed ingredients and are just overall healthy for you. I also try to keep them pretty easy for the most part. We are all so busy nowadays that the quicker the recipe while also being healthy, the better.
